Biography
Born in London, England in 1927. A native of Essex, England. The only child of Harold and Clarise Lawrence of Ilford. Essex. He was married to Marsha McCurley – an American. Lived in a small university town in South Carolina. Had two daughters by a previous marriage, Anne-Marie an ex-teacher living in the UK, and Barbara a mechanical designer living in the USA. He considered Brighton UK to be home town. He was a design engineer for his freelance consulting company. Died in 2010.

Career highlights:
With J.Lyons & Co London. – Patent holder of food manufacturing machine designs. Process, R&D, and Commissioning Engr. for Harvest Pie Plants in London and Glasgow employing the above machine.
For Nucor Steel – Prepared designs and was commissioning consultant for Intersteel Tech. Inc. of the first continuous steel melting plant in the world at Nucor Steel, Darlington, South Carolina, USA.
